Historique :	Ce sculpteur (Cracovie, 1888 ; Paris, 1967) fut lié à Soutine et Modigliani. Il s'intéressa à l'art africain. D'autres oeuvres de l'artiste sont conservées dans l'aglise mais la figure du CHrist a particulièrement retenu l'attention des membres de la CDOM. Le rapporteur de la CSMH du 8 décembre 1997 estime que ce Christ en croix constitue un chef-d'oeuvre.
